The Shanking Soigneur is a blog dedicated to my mumblings on cycling and tennis.
So why, The Shanking Soigneur?
Well, I decided to choose a name that references my two favourite sports.
Well, I assume we all know what it is to shank a tennis ball! Something I am extremely good at!
And a soigneur in cycling is almost the ‘go to person’. They prepare the musettes for the riders and then stand on the side of the ride handing them out along with water bottles. They are there to support the riders through the race.
To be honest, the title comes from finding two references from cycling and tennis that sounded good together. I love the alliteration!
I hope you enjoy my thoughts on cycling and tennis. Oh, and there are a couple of thoughts on the Olympics, AFL and possibly other stuff too.
